Cyprus is very interesting place. It has been a popular holiday destination for various people across the world. This island provides so many things to the tourists that it becomes difficult for them to make a choice. We visited this place during last year. There are so many attractions of this island. We visited different historical and archeological sites of Cyprus. We visited different paphos mosaics of Cyprus. These included the houses of famous Theseus, aion, Dionysus etc. we were thrilled to visit the kourion city that is an ancient city of Cyprus. The architecture of this city was very beautiful and provided valuable information about the past.
There are many churches in Cyprus that belong to the Byzantine times. The most famous church that we visited was the agia paraskevi church that is situated in paphos. This church has five tombs. Churches in Troodos Mountains were also very beautiful. These mountains are also an attraction of Cyprus. The most famous church on these mountains is agios nikolastis stegis. We also visited the different monasteries and the museums of Cyprus. All of these places attract innumerable tourists to Cyprus every year. There are four golf courses in Cyprus. These also attract golf loving people to Cyprus. There is one paphos mediaeval fort in Cyprus. Opera is held every year in this fort during summer season. The beaches and the markets of Cyprus are also very attractive. The beaches are very beautiful and there are many kinds of sports activities that we enjoyed at the beaches. The market is also very good and offers quality goods at reasonable prices.
North cyprus is next to Turkey, nearest to Egypt and midle east. Kyrenia of Northern Cyprus balances both the country life by having plush green gardens, excellent sea views and sandy beaches, and the modern life by providing best facilities such as swimming pools and along with these features, you can camp in the wild experiencing the nature's beautiful landscapes which exist in Northern Kyrenia.
